培养学生运用语言的能力和用英语获取信息的能力,如何提高学生的听说能力,尤其是口语能力,是小学英语教学中的一个主要问题。教师可从以下四方面着手:培养信心,让学生敢说英语;激发兴趣,让学生爱说英语;创设情景,让学生多说英语。关注个别,让学生都说英语。从而达到激发学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生学习英语的积极态度,使学生建立学习英语的自信心;培养学生具有一定的语感和良好的语音、语调、书写基础,以及良好的学习习惯,使学生初步具有用英语进行简单日常交流的能力这个新课标的教学目的。     【关键词】 培养信心 激发兴趣 创设情景 关注个别    小学英语的教学目的,是激发学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生学习英语的积极态度,使学生建立学习英语的自信心;培养学生具有一定的语感和良好的语音、语调、书写基础,以及良好的学习习惯,使学生初步具有用英语进行简单日常交流的能力。由此可见,培养学生运用语言的能力和用英语获取信息的能力,如何提高学生的听说能力,尤其是口语能力,是小学英语教学中的一个主要问题。作为一名小学英语教师,笔者浅谈如何有效地提高学生的口语表达能力。     一、培养信心,让学生敢说英语。   当小学生心理上紧张,怕犯错,信心不足,其说话的能力自然受到影响。因此,首先要树立学生的自信心。小学生说英语的自信心,主要来自于教师对他们的评价。因此,教师要相信学生的能力,鼓励学生大胆说。   第一,善于典故引导,让学生主动培养自信心。用先进事迹鼓舞人,是帮助学生树立英语学习自信心的起点。“有志者事竟成,三千越甲可吞吴”。古今中外勤能补拙的例子也不胜枚举。我常用“疯狂英语”的创立者李阳其人其事来激励学生。基础差不要紧,笨鸟先飞,关键是我们要引导学生树立起学好英语的自信心:别人可以讲一口流利、纯正、地道的英语,我们也一定能!   第二,善于表扬激励,让学生重新拾起自信心。孩子是很自信的,父母和教师过多的批评和责备才让他们失去了自信。作为教师对他们首先要有信心,要多给他们关心和爱护。对他们要多一些表扬,少一些批评和责备。要常对他们说:“你能行,老师相信你。”这对学生来说,就意味着老师的重视、关怀和期待。如果学生的做法能得到老师及时而中肯的评价,学生就会感到自己被赏识、重视,就会愉快、积极,增强自信心。反之,就会情绪低落、被动、缺乏信心。即使他们做错了,也不要全盘否定,更不能讽刺、挖苦,而要就事论事,帮助他们分析错误的原因,鼓励他们想办法战胜困难。   第三,善于创造机会,让学生始终保持自信心。培养学生自信心的条件是让他们不断得到成功的体验,而过多的失败体验,则使他们对自己的能力产生怀疑。因此,教师要根据学生发展的特点和个性差异,提出适合其水平的任务和要求,确立一个适当的目标,使其经过努力能够完成。注意启发学生学习的主动性和积极性,并善于创造机会让学生体检成功,肯定自己的能力从而拥有自信。     二、激发兴趣,让学生爱说英语。   兴趣,是老生常谈的影响学生学习态度要素之一,但它确实在学生学习的过程中起着关键的作用。小学生学英语往往从兴趣出发,若强行要他们学英语,反而给他们更多的心理负担,引起厌学情绪。因此,教师应该结合教材内容,精心设计与小学生生活实际紧密结合、形式多样、生动活泼的课堂教学活动,让学生在自然、舒心的氛围中学习和运用语言,激发学生说英语的兴趣,调动他们讲英语的积极性。
