第七章。五年的时间对于一个儿童来说意味着漫长的成长，可对于刚刚开启社会阅历的青年人来说意味则是一闪而过和生命意义的探索，这期间唯一不变的就是变化。克里斯在旧金山总医院干了整整五年，也成为了一名优秀的心血管医师助理，还成了家-娶了他高中时代就爱上的女神。但是他没有正规医学院的文凭，无论经验多丰富，合著的论文有多少，尴尬的现实是他仍旧拿不到医生的许可证，不断提高的收入（万美金 1976年）仍旧无法改善家庭生活。他的妻子雪莉保守而庄重，没办法长期忍受他的狂热与奔放，两个共同生活了五年的即将夫妻分手。分手的另一个原因是医生这个行业突然发生了剧烈的变化，特别是在收入方面，原来一个手术有几千美金，而新的法案推出后只能拿几百美金，对于还没有拿到行医资格的克里斯来说，是否继续在行医这条路走下去显然是个值得怀疑的问题，于是他准备放弃，雪莉对此非常失望。哦，在医院工作期间，黑人助理克里斯先生虽然没有正规医学院的文凭，但却要经常指导那些来实习的白人小老鼠，他们学了一脑子的知识，却几乎没有任何的动手能力，到克里斯这里来实践操作，却不愿受指导，就因为克里斯是个黑人！（只能说这是一群蠢货）面对蠢货的无礼，克里斯写到： 人生抉择。对，人的一生就是在不断的选择中度过；只是，在选择的那个时刻，谁也无法预知结果。克里斯在派对上认识了一位激情美女杰姬，一个月左右杰姬就怀孕了。克里斯与雪莉最终摊牌，她搬走了，不过法律上的终结要等到九年以后。虽然从医已经不是最好的选择，但克里斯还是在总医院的实验室继续工作了一年多，这期间小克里斯托夫出生，杰姬刚刚从医学院毕业，还要准备资格证书的考试，一家三口的生存全部压在了克里斯身上。杰姬对他目前一万多的年薪显然不满，反复要求克里斯尽早更换工作，无休止的争吵还会混入克里斯从来没有爸爸的这个事实，令其困扰不已。终于，克里斯干起了医疗器械销售员的工作，年薪3万。但是他没有客户、没有经验，对产品也不熟悉，一切都要从头学起。好在克里斯在工作上一直是个积极进取的人，每天带上样品和各种产品资料，开着车从一家医院到另一家医院，从一个城市到另一个城市，慢慢的也积累起自己的客户关系，而且还被一家品牌更响亮的医疗器械公司老板看上。在新的公司里，克里斯开始业绩上升，他把目标锁定在年薪八万的老板身上。虽然收入增加了，他们的儿子依然只能去很低端的保育中心，他们的生活并没有大幅的改善，杰姬的抱怨也一分没少，并经常提醒克里斯：你是个没有父亲的人，你怎么知道如何带好孩子呢？随着推销工作的进展，克里斯终于有了一点积蓄，并且也找到了生身父亲，他可以带上儿子去门罗看爷爷了。与父亲团聚的那几天过得十分快乐，甚至他都有点嫉妒儿子与爷爷之间的欢笑。离开的时候，全家都到机场来送他，并且要他保持联系。 一天，他刚刚送完医疗设备的资料，在医院门前的停车场遇到了月薪八万的鲍勃。鲍勃从事的是股票经纪人的行业，经过一顿午餐时间的交谈之后，克里斯知道：年薪八万再也不是他的梦想，月薪八万变成他的新目标。他一旦决定就不会回头的，不过进入这个行业却不容易，要有人脉介绍进入股票公司，还要学习非常多的知识，还要通过考试拿到从业资格证书，最重要的是拓展自己的客户。仅仅第一步就已经让克里斯的生活陷入深渊。鲍勃为克里斯介绍了不少证券公司，可是面试的时间与克里斯工作时间冲突，克里斯只好取消与客户的预约偷偷的去面试。而面试的公司基本上都是白人，完全见不到有色人种，这让他的机会降低不少。克里斯本身也没什么对应的客户群，机会再次降低。所以克里斯一直是东奔西跑的找证券公司面试，却一直没得到进入学习的机会，还因此吃了一千多美金的停车罚单。他可没有这笔钱付罚单，需要通过去法官那里申诉解决，但一直拖着没去。最严重的是克里斯的老板发现了克里斯在利用工作时间做私事，非常恼火，把他开除。克里斯只好通过打零工维持生计，但是他与杰姬的关系更差了。是啊，有几个女人真的会相信一个濒临破产的男人呢？再一次争吵的过程中，杰姬摔倒在门前的蔷薇花丛里，马上就报了警。因为他还欠着1200美元的停车罚单没有缴纳，而且也无钱缴纳，这一下不得了，他被关了两个星期。差点错过了一家股票公司的面试机会，更严重的是，当他返回家的时候，杰姬和儿子克里斯托夫都不在了。失去儿子的痛苦，让他辗转难眠。 第十章。经过面试，克里斯成功进入添慧公司开始金融行业知识的学习。关于面试成功这一段，还有个小插曲。由于杰姬带走儿子，而且还开车把他所有的家当都拿走了，面试的时候克里斯只能穿着洗的发白的牛仔裤、有着些许褶皱的夹克衫，以及一双满是油漆点的运动鞋。这看上去向个送快递的小哥，当他向面试官阿尔巴尼斯介绍了自己因为老婆带走了一切物品已经无家可归的状态时，引发了阿尔巴尼斯的共鸣，原来他已经离婚两次，第三次婚姻也并不幸福，他认为那些女人都会卷走他的一切，让他痛不欲生。克里斯这样记录他当时的感受： 作为培训的新手，克里斯日子并不好过。一方面收入非常低，仅有1000美元一个月，租不起房子，也持续处在吃不饱的状态。另一方面，他只要闲下来，就会思念他的儿子，他只能拼命工作，让自己把注意力集中在工作上。从开始给别人打下手，他就注意到一个严重的问题：做副手只能赚点微薄的利润，而且永远也培养不了自己的客户关系群。在公司里，他还负责每天零散客户的接待，但即使他谈成了业务，也拿不到佣金，因为这些白人客户最终还是会选择白皮肤经纪人代他们理财。克里斯一边准备考试，一边每天坚持打两百个电话，但对于有意向的客户，他总是巧妙的让他们同意通过电话沟通。这样他逐渐建立属于自己的客户群，同时避免见面后的跳票。那些书本上的知识根本难不倒用心学习的克里斯，他在资格证的考试中取得了88分的高分，成为一名有资质的经纪人。一个月后，杰姬出现在他的面前，她撤销了对克里斯的诉讼，而且带来小克里斯托夫。杰姬似乎知道克里斯发生的所有事情，但她不是要回到克里斯的身边，仅仅是因为实在抗不住单身妈妈的压力，把儿子还给克里斯后就走了，这对父子必须一起面对艰难的生活喽。因为没有多少钱，克里斯带着儿子住过大车店、睡过高铁站卫生间、在公司打地铺、在公园的长凳过夜，有时也会去格莱徳教堂为贫苦人民开辟的救助站。在这么困难的日子里，克里斯也有过绝望，也会想过放弃，我不知道他是如何重建信心的，书里仅仅留下这样一段话： 随着积蓄一点点的增加，克里斯在奥克兰开始搜寻便宜的住房，这样他和小克里斯托夫也好有个安稳的住所。在一个小房子前，一簇玫瑰吸引了他的注意力，停下脚步与正在打扫院子的老者攀谈起来，恰好老者有个放杂物的小房子可以出租而且租金也很便宜。为了节省100美金的清洁费，克里斯决定自己动手打扫这个一直存放杂物的房子。有了遮风挡雨的固定住所，一切从新开始了。 第十一、十二章。虽然有了固定的住所，生活不会立刻变得完美，毕竟克里斯还处在积累阶段，距离其事业的巅峰期还有十几年的磨难要经历。有的时候，由于不能及时缴纳电费，父子两个还要点着蜡烛过夜。 关于幸福的定义，千人千面，但书中有上面这一小段几乎让我泪奔，这可能就是我心中的幸福G点吧。 There is a wonderful word which expresses the most original motions and desires among human-beings. With solving any kind of imperfections, our world has moved ahead. This is the word “innovation” that we cannot afford to lose.
We chicaned every detail of the innovation. Thousands years before, we created fire when we took a stone to knock another one. Since Han Dynasty, four great inventions had been created and it is one of the greatest signs that China become to the ancient civilized country. And nowadays, thousands of software, products, architectures and public facilities have upgraded more than that about 100 years ago. So how did these happen? What will you do if you are not satisfied with your tools anymore? What will you do if old mode cannot afford to develop in a company? There is no doubt that we should innovate no matter where we are and what we do. Not because of the design itself, but actually for its intended purpose.
If there was no Apple, everyone could not imagine how to contact others easily and enjoy a better Internet surfing.
If there was no Microsoft, perhaps we still worked in a dim office and duplicate some troublesome documents. If there was no Newton, and no theory of gravity, maybe I will win the Nobel Prize like Newton rather than just standing here. I have heard that three apple changed the world. The first one seduced Eve. The second one awakened Newton. The third one was in the hands of Steve Jobs. We sort of think the innovation of the world began with apple. I imagine lots of people want to become another Newton or Jobs right now with just one hand to change the world, right? Have the innovation to follow your heart. But as I receive this award today, I want to thank to them, because they encourage me to be involved with the committee rather than staying in at home, play computer and speak Chinese.
When I came to Wantirna College first time, I met liz collar who is international student coordinator. She is very kind to me, and she encourage me join SRC, I went to SRC meetings regularly all the time, but I didn’t even know what SRC was! That is the reason why I told her, I don’t want to go to SRC anymore. But she said why not? You should go and you have to go!I asked why? she said: because I said so!
But as ii receive this award today, I want to thank her. She helps me a lot.
Truth be told, I am not the best student in Wantirna College, but I appreciate this award and I will try my best in future.

I have remembered such a piece of news . An excellent student flunked (考试不及格) because he could not concentrate on his study for being too indulged in computer games. The most serious harm of computer games come from their contents, which affects teenagers ' mental health. Many games involve violence, such as fighting and killing. When they enjoy the pleasure of success, a violent turn of mind is developed and rooted in them, which may induce future violent behaviour in their life.
So when computers' entertaining function is highly spoken of ,such a problem does deserve our serious concern.
In addition, long time's working before computer also does harm to health. The radiation from the computer can arose many uncomfortable feelings., like a headache, poor eyesight.
At last, people who are fond of making friends on line should also be careful. Many convicts use Internet as a way to cheat. 1．在教学总体目标上，重兴趣、重成就感、重自信心的培养。教师通过多种激励的方式，如奖品激励、任务激励、荣誉激励、信任激励和情感激励等，激发学生积极参与、大胆实践、体验成功的喜悦。有了成就感，就有了自信心，学生就会渴望学习英语；在课程实施上，重环境、重频率、重效率。教学中特别强调语言环境的创设，充分利用和开发电视、录音、录像、光碟等多种媒体，丰富教学内容、活跃教学气氛、创设生动和真实的语言环境。尽量在课堂上创造真实的情境，克服课时少的困难，并且按排早读课及时复习，保证学生高频率的接触英语，为学生创造有效的学习条件，提高学习效率；在语言教学目标上，重语感、重语音语调基础、重交流能力。学校和教师积极创造条件，提供良好的语言环境和设备，通过提供大量的感知、体验、模仿等实践活动，帮助学生形成初步的语感。语音语调的学习包括发音、重音、语调、节奏和语流等多方面，教学中要求教师防止以单音准确为目的的教学，通过多听、多模仿，在有意义的语境中进行训练，奠定语音语调的基础。强调要培养学生交流能力就要创设交流的.情景，使学生通过交流发展交流的能力。
2．在教学模式和方法上，重体验、重实践、重参与、重创造。要求教学设计贴近生活，符合小学生兴趣的需求；教学内容能引起学生的兴趣，例如韵律诗歌、寓言故事、会话表演、游戏等；教学的语言材料要真实、实用。学生在课上通过用中学、学中用，反复实践，学用结合。功能、结构、话题、任务做到有机结合；以话题为核心，以功能和结构为主线，以任务型活动为目标安排各单元或各课的教学；通过视、听、说、玩、唱、画、游、读、写、译等饶有趣味的活动，让学生接触足够量的语言材料，保证输入量，“习得”与“学得”结合，使学生逐步培养起初步的语感；通过大量语言材料的输入，特别是声像材料的示范，学生模仿，教师指导，使学生逐步形成良好的语音、语调、书写、拼读的习惯。设计任务型活动，开放空间，激活学生的思维，培养创造思维。自始至终引导学生通过完成具体任务活动来学习语言，让学生为了特定的学习目的去进行特定的语言活动，通过完成特定的交际任务来获得和积累相应的学习经验。教学方法要多样，且生动活泼，激发学生的学习兴趣。充分利用教科书中的课文创设栩栩如生的情景，为学生提供使用英语进行交流的机会。实践中，我们发现每当孩子们进入角色，成功地做成一件事，他们便情不自禁，喜形于色，因此兴趣倍增、信心加强，动机和情意受到了很大的激励。同时要求布置的练习形式要多种多样，做到手、脑、口、耳、眼、肢、体并用，静态、动态相结合，基本操练与自由练习相结合，单项和综合练习相结合。通过大量的实践，使学生具有良好的语音、语调、书写和拼读的基础，并能用英语表情达意，开展简单的交流活动。
二、创设良好的语言学习环境，扩展英语教学的时空。
⒈灵活安排教学组织和课堂，以学生为主体，充分调动学生的积极性，开展两人小组、多人小组、成行、成排、半班等多种形式的活动。这是小学英语教学的重要特点之一。只有开展这些活动才能使每一个学生充分地参与课堂实践，才能体现出语言的交际性，才能实现师生之间和学生之间的互动性。课堂上课桌椅的摆放形式根据教学的需要采用不同的方式——秧田式、半圆式、全圆式、双圆式等，目的是为了更好地开展各种教学活动。这样做可以促进师生之间的情感交流，而且可以帮助学生培养起互相关心，合作的团队精神。
⒉采用多种媒体的现代化教学手段，创设良好的语言环境和充分的语言实践机会，优化。利用英语教学音像资源——图画、图表、投影、录音、录像、cd、vcd、dvd等，不仅能为学生提供规范的语音、语调，还可以提供真实自然的语言使用的示范，即语言使用的场合、时间、对象等，而且还有体态语——手势、动作、表情等的示范。多种媒体的运用使教学变得生动、形象、活泼，感染力强，容易激发学生兴趣，引起有意注意，加深印象，帮助学生持久记忆。充分利用现代化教学手段，可以超越时间和空间的限制，使学生置身于以英语为母语的环境中，体验英语的实际运用。的使用可以使教学过程程序化，大大提高教学的效率，这一点对我们课时少的小学英语课尤为重要。
⒊把英语学习从有限的课内时空扩展到无限的课外时空，成立小小英语角、学校布置英语走廊、让学生制作英语画刊等各种形式的活动极大地提高了学生学英语的热情，让学生感受到英语无处不在、无时不学。
三、努力总结和发现问题，及时调整。
在实际教学过程中，教师应积极实践，不断探索，针对实际工作中出现的问题和学生身心特点，总结规律，认真思考，不断摸索。尤其是在中教师应具备良好的应变机制。①学习过程要有趣味性、有意义，要有利于激发学生主动参与的欲望。②善于利用学生的生活体验，通过让学生交流，使他们对所学语言产生亲切感，从而激发学习动机。及时、正确地给予评价激发学生的成就感，从而产生学习的新动力。常常采用师生问答形式，学生感到枯燥、厌烦。教师让学生与长毛绒动物握手交流，学生兴趣倍增。
四、认真进行质量监控、积极推进评价改革
采用人本与发展的模式来理解教育和人类发展的关系，是当前教育理念的核心，即尊重个体和个体差异，实施因材施教，实现全人教育，为个体的终身学习打下基础。因此，在教学中必须实施新的评价理念，提倡形成性评价和终结性评价有机结合。做到评价主体互动化，评价内容多元化，评价过程动态化。评价的基本目标是为了教育并促进学生的表现，要求教师尊重和爱护每个学生的学习积极性，对学生的成绩和点滴进步适时地加以肯定。采用口头表扬和精神奖励的方式，如奖给小红花、红星、纸制奖牌、课文中的人物卡通图片等。特别要注意对学习后进的学生所取得的进步及时给予表扬。要求评价形式具有多样性和可选择性，以形成性评价为主，以学生平时参与各种英语教学活动所表现的兴趣、态度和交流能力为主要依据。采用学生平时教学活动中常见的方式进行，重视学生的态度、参与的积极性、努力的程度、交流的能力以及合作的精神等。通过观察学生的活动（讲故事、说歌谣、唱歌曲、表演对话或短剧等），与学生交流，学生的自评、互评等生动活泼的方式进行。很多学校建立了学生的评价档案。如学生的语音、书写记录，学生参与小组活动的情况记载，学生课余时间的学习拓展情况等统统作为学期总成绩评定的指标参考。由于注重对学生平时学习情况及时地进行评价，有效地提高了学生学英语的积极性。除形成性评价外，小学三年级期末或学年考试以口试和听力考查为主，五、六年级采用口试、听力、笔试相结合的方式。口试主要考查学生实际的语言应用能力；笔试主要考查学生听和读的技能以及初步的写作能力。评价采用等级制或达标方法记成绩，不对学生按成绩排队或以此作为各种评比或选拔的依据。教学评价是为学习服务的，目的在于提高学生学习的效率，成为学生学习的动力和源泉，为学生的终身发展服务。
有效教学在小学英语教学中的实施是为了提高教师的工作效益、强化过程评价和目标管理。为此我始终从教学的准备、教学的实施、教学的评价三方面入手，自始至终地关注学生的进步和发展、关注教学效益，关注教学中的可测性。同时教师还应具备一种反思的意识，不断地调整自己的教学行为掌握相关的教学策略，以便于自己面对具体的情景做出相应的决策，获取最大的教学效益。

I never thought of my dream when I was a kid. Later,my dream always changed. At that time I don't know what dream is. I haven't studied English at all when I was in primary school. My name is Tiffany, a Year 2 student from the University of Macau. I am currently an active member of the university Public Speaking Team, president of the Honours College Student Association, and also the vice president of the event department in Marketing Society. I am very active and outgoing. I enjoy being with people, engaged in conversations with them so that I can understand them more. I like public speaking as it can help increase my self-esteem and self-confidence. Aside from public speaking, I am also good at English recitation. I have joined the Macao-wide English Individual Recitation for a number of times when I was studying in the secondary school.
Imagine a car without a steering wheel. Tough to imagine, right? Well, actually that’s the image you see if a person has no faith. Faith helps to guide us in our lives, encourage us to persist, and give directions when we are lost.
In this peaceful era, our life paths seem to be already well-planned and determined. What we have to do is to follow. Yes, we may face different sorts of challenges, but at least they are less harsh when compared to those in the past. We do not need to worry about starving to death, or how to earn enough money to buy food for our siblings and sustain our lives.
It is like driving from a muddy road into a highway. In the muddy road, path, you would say, as it is formed only by crossing on it many times, flattening the ground to form a smoother area so we can pass. The road is so bumpy and rough, with holes here and there and rocks lying all over. When we drive along this road, we have to be very careful, having a firm grip on the steering wheel, ready for a sudden turn or a large boulder that may appear any second. However, when we drive on a highway, everything becomes different. The road is smooth, straight, and visible. Since there is no unseen obstacle, we may lower our guard, relax a bit, and loosen our grip on the steering wheel. One may even think, if we only have to drive on a smooth straight road like this highway, why would we need a steering wheel?
Nevertheless, one cannot foresee the future. Accidents do happen. For example, a car may suddenly appear in front of you. Faith is important…, faith is vital…, faith is necessary for us to live our lives. If we do not have faith, we are like a car without a steeling wheel. We can only afford to move along a straight and smooth path, and cannot meet any challenge in our lives.
